Interviews for the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Camellia Girl and Chamber Page positions for the upcoming year will take place this Thursday at the Chamber Depot.

&#8220We have 31 applicants this year, and once the final interviews are conducted Thursday afternoon, we will post the results,” said Annie Glenn Branum, GACOC executive assistant.

Typically, 12 boys and 12 girls from 10th through 12th grades are chosen to fill the positions, serving as goodwill ambassadors for the city and its businesses and industries.

&#8220However, this year we are not certain how many positions we will fill,” Branum said.

In other Chamber news, a reception welcoming Francine Wasden, new executive director for the organization, is slated for next Tuesday at the Depot beginning at 5:30 p.m.

&#8220We hope all our Chamber members and those considering joining the Chamber will come and join us for this event,” said Branum.

In addition, a ribbon cutting at Paradise Homes on the Greenville By-Pass is slated for this Friday, May 18 at 3 p.m.

On May 30, a Business &#8220Before Hours” and Ribbon Cutting is slated for Emily's Cafe from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Sweet rolls and coffee will be served.
