A flash flood watch is in effect for Covington, Butler, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Baldwin, Mobile and Monroe counties in Alabama and in several Florida counties through Friday morning.

Heavy rain is expected tonight with two to three inches of rain possible and in some areas, rainfall total could reach as high as four inches. The already saturated ground will cause rain to quickly run off, causing flooding problems in area rivers.

The Conecuh River is already above flood level at River Falls. Only minor flooding is forecast, but the flood warning is in effect until Sunday.
