Considerable research has been completed on this Maddox family, but space does not allow including much of it. There are several in this family who may be contacted for further information.

Another Maddox descendant, Joe Walker, was the son of Beatrice (Maddox) Walker, who had a sister named Myrtle Maddox who married Odus Martin. Joe’s grandparents were Joseph Isaiah and Della (Clarke) Maddox, natives of Coffee County. He is most interested in identifying the parents of Joseph Isaiah Maddox. He has been told that they might be Joseph Isaiah Maddox, Sr. and Lucinda M. Wyrosdick or Thomas Isaiah Maddox. Is there anyone who might help Joe with this quest. If so, please contact this writer.

The source for the above genealogical history was the family records of Walter N. Martin, a Maddox descendant. Appreciation is expressed to him for sharing this family’s heritage.
