JERRY JOSEPH PARKER

Jerry Joseph Parker, 62, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Andalusia, died Wed., Oct. 20, 2010, in Panama City, Fla.

Funeral services will be held today, Sat., Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Minister Jack Reece and Minister Gary White officiating.

Mr. Parker was a retired lieutenant with the Andalusia Police Department in the Criminal Investigations Unit.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Parker of Panama City, Fla.; one son, Jessie (Shannon) Parker of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Candy (Aaron) Simmons of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Ann (Joey) Ledet of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Ryan Simmons, Philip Carpenter, Evan Carpenter, Kellie Simmons, Olivia Parker and Elijah Ledet; a daughter-in-law, Karen Carpenter of Tuscaloosa; one sister, Jeanette (Henry) Wiggins; and one nephew, Dan (Jan) Wiggins, all of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brad Carpenter.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Patterson, Steve Sasser, Mike Wambles, Paul Norris, Freddie McKinley and Dan Wiggins .

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Barr, Henry Wiggins and Charles Wambles.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Emerald Cost Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd., Panama City, FL 32401, or the Alabama Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, PO Box 240009, Montgomery, AL 36124.

L.E. ODOM

L. E. Odom, 98, of Monroeville, died Wed., Oct. 20, 2010, in a Mobile Hospital.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., today, Sat., Oct. 23, at Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Dunn and the Rev. Monroe Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Henderson Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Evelyn Odom of Monroeville; two granddaughters, Linda (Randy) Baxter and Lisa Smith; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Cora Lee Adams of Andalusia; and a brother, Curtis Odom of Crestview, Fla.

NORMAN DALE WARNICKE

Noman Dale Warnicke, 81, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Oct. 21, at his residence. Graveside services will be held today, Sat., Oct. 23, at 11 a.m., from the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Herb Carlisle officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Elinka Warnicke of Andalusia; a daughter, Jill Amber Warnicke of August, Mich.; a step-daughter, Kim Vanderweele of Plainwell, Mich.; a step-grandchild, Lane Vanderweele; and four brothers, Bernard Warnicke, Roland Warnicke, Don (Arlene) Warnicke and Kenneth (Margaret) Warnicke, all of Kalamazoo, Mich.

The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. today at Foreman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice, 1805 East Three Notch Street, Suite 3, Andalusia, AL 36420, or to Big Oak Ranch, 250 Jake Mintz Road, Gadsden, AL 35905.

OLENE G. ETHERIDGE

Olene G. Etheridge, 82, of Dozier, passed away Wed., Oct. 20, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., today, Sat., Oct. 23, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Mims, the Rev. Roger Lee and Pastor Durwood Cleland officiating. Special music by Becky Welch and Clara Williams. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Wayne Etheridge of Dozier; four sons and daughters-in-law, Freddy J. and Cathy Odom of Andalusia, Doward D. and Marie Odom of Red Level, Dallas T. Odom Sr. and Terry D. and Rebecca Etheridge, all of Dozier; daughter-in-laws, Merle Odom of Andalusia and Betty Rastis; special caregiver, Danny Smith; sisters, Von Cartwright of Andalusia, Bertha Shultz of Opp and Mae Ison of Andalusia; 12 grandchildren, Tim Odom, Teresa Odom, Donna Carey Odom, Freddy J. Odom Jr., Chris Odom, Tracy Odom, Debra Jean Walker, Dallas Tracy “Bo” Odom Jr., Jeremy Tye Odom, Victor Odom, Nathan Odom, Krystal Odom, Brandon Carr and Raven Colvin.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Rex Odom and Shelton M. Odom; three brothers, Hollis Grice, Franklin “Buddy” Grice and Jessie Doster Grice; and one sister, Dessie Rae Odom.

Serving as pallbearers are Tim Odom, Freddy J. Odom, Jr., Chris Odom, Tracy Odom, Victor Odom and Nathan Odom.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Odom, Dallas Odom Jr. and Brandon Carr.
