Hubbard named to national council

Steve Hubbard, an instructor at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, was recently appointed to serve as a member of the standing committee on affiliates for the National Council of Teachers of English. He will represent Region 3 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee). His two-year term will begin now and will end at the close of the 2012 Annual Convention in Las Vegas.

The National Council of Teachers of English, with 40,000 individual and institutional members worldwide, is dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of English and the language arts at all levels of education. For more information, please visit www.ncte.org.
