Beef O’Brady’s is working to raise money for employee Corry Burton, who was injured last month in a car accident.

Burton, who has no insurance, has remained in Baptist South in Montgomery, recovering from the accident.

Yan Vari Hitt, Beef’s manager, said Friday, Burton is making progress and is undergoing the rehab phase of his recovery.

To help the family raise money to cover medical expenses, Beef’s employees have placed “spirit jugs” throughout the restaurant to collect donations.

“(Burton) doesn’t have any insurance, so you can imagine what his bill is,” Vari Hitt said.

Other fundraisers are being planned for the future as well, he said.
