E.J. Cunningham

Funeral services for the Rev. Elisha James “E.J.” Cunningham will be held today, Sat., Feb. 26, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Belleville Missionary Baptist Church in Belleville, Ala.

The body will lie in state at Kirk’s Funeral Chapel Friday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Dozier, Ala., from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Kirk’s Funeral Home Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.

Winford Buford Yates

Mr. Winford Buford Yates, Jr, age 67, died Mon., Feb. 21, 2011, in a Pensacola, Fla. hospital.

Services will be at a later date.

Mr. Yates is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Jason Russell of Foley, Ala.; grandchildren, Bonnie Russell, Logan Russell, and Jordan Russell all of Foley; brothers, James Yates, Glen Yates, Vondell Yates, Debo Yates, Ronnie Yates, Carol Yates, and Mark Yates all of Magee, Miss.

DOUGLAS D. Findley

Douglas D. Findley, 56, of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly Thurs., Feb. 24, 2011, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Mon., Feb. 28, at West Highland Assembly of God Church.

The Rev. Joel Calhoun will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.

Burial will follow in the New Home Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include, his mother Voncille Findley of Mobile; father, Harlos Leach of Mobile; daughter, Delores Douglas of Andalusia; three brothers, Donny Findley of Perdido Key, Fla., Bobby Findley of Paxton, Fla. And Gene Leach of Arkansas; three sisters, Lynn Harrelson of Sardis, Lorie Bailey of Andalusia and Lynn Wyatt of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Courtney Douglas and Caylee Douglas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Harrelson Jr., Derek Findley, Jason Findley, Lamar Lawson, Steve Russell and Darrel Denny

RUBY HENDERSON

Mrs. Ruby Henderson, 68, of Andalusia passed away Tues., Feb. 22, 2011, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held Fri., Feb. 25, 2011, at West Highland Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Joel Calhoun and the Rev. Frankie McVay officiated. Special music was provided by Pam Bond. Burial followed in Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, Ladon Ammons of Andalusia; daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Ronnie Pettis of Andalusia, Carolyn and Robert Harris of Andalusia, Lawrescia Johnson of Andalusia; sisters, Alice Walker of Andalusia, Kathleen Miles of North Carolina, and Voncile Lawson of Andalusia; seven grandchildren, Alisha (Andy) Berry, Russell (Meghan) Pettis, Whitney Cook, Amber Hartley, Nathan (Jessica) Trieber, Ashleigh Ammons, Deanna (Trey) Hudson, and Cheyanne Ammons; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alger and Glennie Nelson, and a brother.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Ballard, Rudon Ballard, Gaston Ballard, Tom Stephens, Dewayne Harris, and Richard South.

ALAN EUBANKS

Alan Eubanks, 68, of Leeds, passed away Mon., Feb. 21, 2011, in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sat., Feb. 26, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Jones Eubanks of Leeds, formerly of Covington County; mother, Beatrice Eubanks of Moody; daughter and son-in-law, Debra (Marc) Eubanks Defreyn of Olympia, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, Barry (Gail) Brown of Margaret, Ala.; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Janet Eubanks of Pinson; daughter-in-law, Rindi Eubanks Garcia of Gilbert, Ariz.; and grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Christina Brown, Shea Eubanks, Rhetta Eubanks, Daniale Brown, Alexandra Defreyn, Peyton Defreyn and Drew Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eubanks, and his father, Charles Emmett Eubanks.
