After claiming the Southeast Invitational Title Saturday in Dale County, Straughn’s baseball team bumped up a notch in the Class 4A poll that was released today.

The Alabama Sports Writer’s Association put the Tigers in the No. 3 spot, compared to last week’s No. 4 spot.

Straughn is now 15-4 after falling to Greenville Monday night.

In girls, Opp, in Class 3A, claimed the No. 5 position in this week’s poll.

The Lady Bobcats are now 8-3.

Straughn’s Lady Tigers remain at the No. 6 spot in this week’s poll.
