RICHARD C. ‘BUDDY’ HARPER

Richard C. “Buddy” Harper, 71, of Andalusia, died Sun., June 12, 2011, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Fri., June 17, at the Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Boles, the Rev. Gary Miller and the Rev. Bob Stamnes officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow the service in the Harper Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 4 p.m., Thurs., June 16, at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Harper of Andalusia; his sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Bridget Harper and Michael Harper, all of Andalusia; his daughter and son-in-law, Marrianne Harper and J. W. DuBose of Andalusia; grandchildren, Haley Harper, Chase Harper, Brayden Harper, John Harper DuBose and Jessa Ann DuBose; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Cindy Harper of Andalusia; two sisters, Doris Aycock of Andalusia and Carolyn McInnish of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Harper and Ona Lee Harper Cushing, and brother, Robert Harper.

Pallbearers will be Tony Dunevant, Ken Petty, Bobby Wilson, Dr. Tim Day, Tim Worley and Jerry Pierce

Honorary pallbearers will be Harper Electric employees, C.R. Pate, Jim McClain, Wayne Goodman, Jimmy Kirkland, Ricky McLin, Pete Riley, Bubba Evers, Roger Smith and Harry Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in his honor to the charity of one’s choice.

MARGARET LUCILLE REYNOLDS

Margaret Lucille Reynolds, 87, of Andalusia, died Fri., June 10, 2011, in the Opp Nursing Home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in New York, where Mrs. Reynolds resided before her move to Andalusia.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, William F. and Kathryn Reynolds of Carthage, N.Y., David and Kerstin Wellbery of Chicago and Chris and Phyllis Reynolds of Andalusia; and six grandchildren

BETTY EVANS GROSS

Betty Evans Gross, 73, of Opp, passed away Wed., June 15, 2011, in Opp hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., June 18, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Survivors include five sons, David Kenneth Beck, Robert Dewayne Beck, Ronald Beck, Bill Beck and Terry Beck; brother, W.L. Evans Jr.; sisters, Gloria Branpley and Ruby Stone; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter Gwen Dampier.
