KETURAH WALKER

Keturah Walker, 83, of Andalusia passed away Mon., July 18, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., July 20, at Gantt Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Walker and the Rev. Wayne Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Baptist church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marshell Walker; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Steve Sharpe and Margaret Foley, all of Andalusia; special niece and nephew, Mary and Dale South of Tuscaloosa; sister, Gladys Hart of Tuscaloosa; sister-in-laws, Loyette Walker of Red Level and Frances Walker of Cantonment, Fla.; brother-in-law, John Mitchell of Saraland; grandchildren, Micheal (Tamara) Bush of Opp, Jonathan (April) Bush, Kim (Dennis) Allred, Jill Sharpe, Tim (Sonya) Walker and Annie (Chris) Long, all of Andalusia; two step-grandchildren, Janna (Eric) Nelson of Mississippi and Matt (Debbie) Cameron of Red Level; great-grandchildren, Hunter Allred, Grayson Bush, Reid Bush, Madalyn Bush, Mallory Bush, Meaghan Walker, Ryan Walker, Layne Vidich, Andrew Vidich, Hailey Nelson, Brianna Nelson and Bryan Cameron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walker; her son, Tommy Walker, and her grandson, Charles Boyd Walker.

Serving as pallbearers will be Micheal Bush, Jonathan Bush, Tim Walker, Jerry Scott, Dennis Allred and Ryan Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Allred, Grayson Bush, Andrew Vidich, A.C. Godwin, Coy Williams and Albert “Hoggie” Pitts.

ROBERT HARRISON

Robert Harrison, 85, of Brewton, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., July 14, 2011, at his residence in Brewton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tues., July 19, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Harrison; sons, Edward (Pewee) Harrison of Brewton, and Edward Orville (Lisa) Harrison of Abbeville; daughter, Melissa Piland of Brewton; sister, Christina Cooper of Andalusia; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa Price and Wylene Blair, and parents, George Eubie Harrison and Nancy Lee Harrison

Serving as pallbearers will be James Piland, Gary Sharpe, Curtis Herncon, Kevin Burkett, Michael Walker and Matt Casey.

CAMERON LAIN CHANCE

Cameron Lain Chance, the infant son of Brandon Chance and Ariel Clark of Andalusia, died Sat., July 16, 2011, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Tues., July 19, at the South Church of God in Red Level with the Rev. Jason Justus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service with Foreman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Lord Cook, 88, of Dozier, died Sun., July 17, 2011, in the Andalusia Manor nursing facility.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wed., July 20, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. P.J. McClung officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in the Babbie Community. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Joe Johnson, 52, of New Brockton, passed away Fri., July 15, 2011, at Medical Center Enterprise.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Wed., July 20, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Joe Johnson Family, Regions Bank, 110 College Street, Enterprise, AL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Johnson, and a sister, Sandra Johnson.

L. W. “Pete” Worley, 82, of Dothan, died July 17, 2011.

Funeral services were held Mon., July 18, from the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Thaxton Whiddon officiating. Burial with Masonic rites followed in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Worley was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Covington County, to Lonnie and Carrie Bracewell Worley. He was a resident of Dothan for the past 60 years. He was an electrician, having worked with Higgins Electric Company, Holland Manufacturing, Covent Steel and Qualico Steel. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Mr. John Downs.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Taylor Masonic Lodge # 447. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was a caring individual who believed in hard work and paying your debts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, L. G. Worley; four sisters, Lula Mae Morriss, Sybel Green, Molly Kilpatrick and Elizabeth Wright; one stepson Danny Sasser; and a special nephew and niece, Sonny Pierson and Dorothy O’Donnell.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ruth Sasser Worley of Dothan; two stepdaughters, Debra (Mike) Jones of Luverne and Deanna (Tony) Williams of Marianna, Fla.; eight step-grandchildren, Jason (Megan) Sasser of Red Level, Stephanie (Donny) Williams of Opp, Thomas and John Michael Jones of Luverne, Katie and Anthony Williams of Marianna, Fla., and Lauren and Rachael Sasser of Dothan; four step-great-grandchildren, Allie and Chandler Williams and Mitchell Sasser and Alyssa Wolfe; two brothers, Hubert and Ray Worley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Taylor Masonic lodge # 447.
