A local doctor’s office has been recognized for its quality lab services, officials announced Wednesday.

The laboratory of Drs. Vijay Vyas and Calb Youngkuma at Vyas and Vyas, M.D., P.C., has met all criteria for laboratory accreditation by COLA, a national health care accreditation organization.

Accreditation is given only to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality to day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing and pass a rigorous onsite laboratory survey.

Vyas and Vyas commit to provide only quality service to its patients.

The laboratory is managed by Jennifer Clem, LPN, and is under the direction of Vyas.
