RLS beats Gamecocks 8-7, 7-3

Red Level turned around and played a better game offensively, defeating New Brockton 8-7, 7-3 in an area doubleheader at NBHS on Tuesday night.

The Tigers fell 2-1 in their first area game of the series with the Gamecocks on Monday, where they couldn’t get anything going offensively.

RLS coach Tony Ingram said Matt Nolen hit the ball well.

“We hit the ball,” Ingram said. “We played like we should’ve played (Monday).”

Troy Nolen got the win in the first game, pitching a complete game.

Hayden Dubose earned the second-game win, and M. Nolen closed.

Red Level will visit Georgiana in regular season action on Monday.
