Local teams split in Tune Up

Three local softball teams split in action at the Elba Tune Up Tournament on Friday night.

Opp fell to Goshen 3-0 in its first game, but the Lady Bobcats came back to beat Class 4A’s Headland 7-1 in the second game.

Headland beat Pleasant Home 3-1, and then the Lady Eagles bounced back to win 3-1 over Slocomb.

Straughn beat Houton Academy 7-2, and then fell to G.W. Long 11-4 in its second game of pool play.

Andalusia will face Pleasant Home at 9 a.m. today to start single elimination play.
