DTF nabs 2 more dealers

Published 12:02am Thursday, May 31, 2012

Drug Task Force agents continued their sweep of drug dealer arrests Wednesday – this time arresting two for alle-gedly selling Lort-abs and Ecst-asy in the Ony-cha, Opp and Andal-usia areas.

Da-vid Blake Willia-mson, 26, faces two counts of distribution after he allegedly sold Lortab, or hydrocodone, to a confidential informant in Onycha on April 24 and again on May 9 in Opp. Agents said the Opp sale occurred within three miles of both a school and a public housing authority.

Williamson was booked into the Covington County Jail and held under a $200,000 bond.

Agents then arrested Sara Rae Bell, 34, of Onycha, who also faces two counts of distribution. Bell allegedly sold Lortab to a confidential informant on May 8 in Onycha. On May 14, she allegedly committed the same crime, only this time in Andalusia involving Ecstasy, or MDMA, within three miles of both a school and a public housing authority.

When arrested by agents, Bell was in possession of hydrocodone and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. She is being held in the county jail on a $210,000 bond.

“Drug dealers profit from pain and addiction, and to them, it’s simply business as usual,” said Sheriff Dennis Meeks. “We are truly fortunate to have such hard-working DTF agents. These men spend countless hours taking these dealers off of the streets. I appreciate their dedication and diligence in battling this epidemic.”
