Late Saturday night, two Auburn football players who played last season were shot to death at an apartment complex near the school’s campus.

An offensive lineman, who also was shot and remains on the team, has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The two players were among three people who were killed and another three who were injured, according to a report on ESPN.com.

Ladarious Phillips, Auburn’s fullback last season and sophomore; and ex-lineman Ed Christian, were killed when a gunman opened fire after a fight started at the University Heights apartments, according to the same report.
