Anything goes in Florala

: One of the biggest crowds in years gathered Monday for the start of Florala’s Masonic June 24th Celebration. Above: Savannah Martin was all in it during the children’s water battle. There were more than 20 entries in this year’s ‘Anything Goes Parade.’ Winners were in the singles category: Chloe Russell (right) and her hot air balloon, first place; Dawson Reeves’ ‘I’d rather be fishin,’ second place; and Callie Jo Schofield’s ‘Painting the town for June 24th’, third place. In the group category, winners were: Jude and Nina Jones, Zykiah Griffin and Summer Castle as zombies; Olivia and Riley Cravey and Ian and Grant Kimbril as ‘Off to See the Wizard,’ second place; Angel and Duke Fair as flower girl and Gnomeo, third place. | Stephanie Nelson/Star-News
