Johnson selected to preseason SEC team

Nico Johnson was selected to the first team 2012 Southeastern Conference preseason Coaches All-SEC Team, recently.

The Andalusia native and Alabama Crimson Tide senior linebacker was selected to the first team defense, along with C.J. Mosley.

Eleven Alabama players made either first, second or third team All-SEC, according to a report from ESPN.com.

Johnson and Mosley join offensive linemen Barrett Jones and D.J. Fluker, who made first team offense.

Additionally, Eddie Lacy and Chance Warmack made second team offense, while A.J. McCarron and Michael Williams earned a spot on third team offense. Jesse Williams and Robert Lester made second team defense, and Dee Milliner made third team defense, according to the same report.
