SYBLE MITCHELL DOROUGH

Syble Mitchell Dorough, 89, of Dozier passed away Thurs., Sept. 6, 2012, in the Opp nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., Sept. 9, at Keahey Funeral Home with the Rev. Helen Grissett officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Keahey Funeral Home.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include five sons, Willie Ray Mitchell of Lownsboro, John Thomas Mitchell of Clanton, Zollie (Betty) Mitchell of Dozier, Jerry W. (Linda) Mitchell of Gordon and Bobby Jack Mitchell of Opp; daughter, Edna Moss of Tuscaloosa; brothers, Jessie Berry of Dozier and Jimmy (Janel) Berry of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Lillie Mae Gay of Jay, Fla., Peggy Lewandowski of Zepher Hills, Fla., and Glenda (Judd) Granger of Andalusia; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mitchell; son, Bobby Mitchell, and daughter, Nell Merrill.
