Uncle pleas to killing nephew, gets life in prison

The man who shot and killed his 4-year-old nephew in Opp in 2010 will spend of rest of his life in prison.

John Curtis Davis III pleaded guilty Wednesday to reckless murder after shooting Curtis Alexander Ruede in the chest with a pellet gun. He was initially charged with capital murder in the case.

Davis was sentenced to life in prison with no comment from the court on with or without the possibility of parole.
