Townsend, Johnson improve numbers

Huntingdon freshman linebacker and Andalusia native Jacard Townsend recorded one tackle in the Hawks’ 24-21 victory over Hampden-Sydney on Saturday.

With his performance in the win, Townsend improves to seven tackles on the season.

The Hawks (3-1) hosts Ave Maria for homecoming this week.

In Alabama’s 40-7 win over Florida Atlantic, senior linebacker and Andalusia native Nico Johnson recorded one assist, bring his season total to 20, nine tackles behind teammate C.J. Mosley, who recorded six assists last week.

Alabama hosts Ole Miss this week, where game time is set for 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
