A 19-year-old Opp teen was jailed earlier this week for allegedly engaging in sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Opp police officers found Ethan Beesley and the female walking on Ida Ave. Wednesday morning around 4.

Lt. Mark Kyser of the OPD said that when the pair was questioned, officers discovered there had been sexual contact between the two.

Beesley was arrested on rape II charges and booked into the Covington County Jail.

Rape in the second degree is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of no less than two years and no more than 20 years, if convicted.
