Sylvia Lynn Beech

Sylvia Lynn Beech, 68, died Oct. 24, 2012, in Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Beech was a native of Fruitdale, Ala., a former resident of Chatom, Ala., and a current resident of Andalusia. She had worked as a secretary for Auburn University. Mrs. Beech was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church, Hobson, Ala. She enjoyed word search puzzles, gardening and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Conn Beech of Andalusia; her daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Puckett of Andalusia, Kim (Billy) McLemore of Auburn, and Amber (Jason) Long of Daphne; her sisters, Irene Watts of Laton Hill, Ala., Beatrice Dailey of Fruitdale, and Sue Barnett of Petal, Miss.; five grandchildren, Alexa Puckett, Nathan Puckett, Lyssa Hunnicult, Bankston McLemore, and Cooper Long; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sat., Oct. 27, 2012, at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom, Ala., from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will be in Grace-Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com.

Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Steve McNeil, Sam Hartley, Dewayne Dailey, Kevin Dailey, and Robert Hartley.
