A local woman who failed to return after a Department of Corrections pass in October was found Sunday in Covington County.

Chief Deputy David Anderson said Cortney Lynn Inman, 22, was arrested just before lunch in Andal-usia. She now faces a first-degree escape charge.

“According to information we received, Ms. Inman left a D.O.C. location in Jefferson County on Oct. 31 and did not return,” Anderson said. “Deputies received information as to her location in the Andalusia area.

“After doing surveillance on her suspected location, she was seen entering a vehicle and traveling along South Three Notch Street in Andalusia,” he said. “Deputies stopped the vehicle and arrested her without any resistance.”

Star-News archives show Inman was sentenced to six years in prison on burglary charges. Inman is currently in the Covington County Jail awaiting pick up by DOC.
