MAJORIE RAINES MOORE

Marjorie Raines Moore, 91, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Nov. 11, 2012, in a local nursing home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1921, to Pearl and John Raines of Brantley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Tues., Nov. 13, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. John David Thompson will provide special music. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin today at 10 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Norma Moore Jackson and her husband, Charles; her son, David Moore and his wife, Carol; grandchildren, Dawn (John) Jackson Thompson, Jill (Drew) Jackson Gay, Jody (Nicole) Jackson, Allison Moore Stroud and Meredith (Tim) Moore Jordan; great-grandsons, John David Thompson, Jackson Thompson, Whitman Jackson, Haden Jackson, Ander Gay, John David Stroud, Spencer Stroud and Wilson Stroud; and her sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Brantley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clark Moore; her parents, and her sister, Evelyn Murphy.

She worked at First Federal Savings and Loan for many years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Andalusia and the Altrusa Club. She loved her family, friends and church.

Pallbearers will be Jody Jackson, Drew Gay, John Thompson, John David Thompson, Jimmy Johnson, Mickey Pitts, and Craig Hill.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Pearl Owens for her loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church or the First United Methodist Church.

THE REV. L.V. COMANS

The Rev. L.V. Comans, 88, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Nov. 8, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be were held Mon., Nov. 12, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Archie Holley and the Rev. C.A. Pruitt officiating. Interment followed in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home for two hours prior to services Monday.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie J. Comans; son, Stan (Mamie) Comans of Mobile; daughters, Brenda T. (Edward) Herout of Arizona and Cathy (Bill) Griffin of Andalusia; sisters, Lois Jones of Long Beach, Miss., Faye Weaver of Lake, Miss., and Roslyn Williams of Kissimme, Fla.; grandchildren, Robert Comans, Quinton Glen, April Loomis, Lisa Pardue, Anita Barnes, Rachel McLeod, Tessie Millard, Stan Comans Jr., Randall Griffin, Rasen Griffin, Geoffrey Thompson and Shelia Ferguson; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Comans.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Comans, Quinton Glenn, Randall Griffin, Geoffrey Thompson, Stanley Comans Jr. and Calvin Pardue.
