The Andalusia Piggly Wiggly is closing.

Owner Marilyn Walker declined to officially comment; however, sources told The Star-News that the store, which is located on U.S. Hwy. 29 South, will stop selling groceries as soon as soon as its stock is depleted.

The Corner Market, the store’s deli, will continue to operate, sources said; however, its operating schedule is unknown.

On Monday, signs of the store’s impending closure were obvious – coolers were dark, and produce shelves were empty.
