Girl falls from car in River Falls

Police are investigating what led to an 18-year-old girl falling from a moving vehicle Tuesday night.

River Falls Police Chief Greg Jackson said he and Covington County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 84 and Ard Creek Road in response to an injured female.

“When we got there, we were told that the girl had fallen from a moving vehicle,” Jackson said. “She was transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital for treatment.

“The vehicle has been impounded, and a male passenger arrested for supplying alcohol to the victim,” he said.

Jackson said all names are being withheld because of the ongoing investigation; however, jail records identify the male passenger as 24-year-old Casey R. Hallam.

Jackson asked that any one who might have seen or have information on this please contact him 334-222-3510.
