Profanity written on local street

A series of graffiti containing profanity has been spray painted in an Andalusia intersection.

Among the graffiti is a very large “F-word” spray painted across the road at the intersection of Oak Street and Second Street.

Sgt. Mike Hayden with the Andalusia Police Department said police have put in a work order with the City of Andalusia, who is supposed to be sending workers out to clean it up.

It is unclear who is responsible for the vandalism, but some residents were outraged at the scene.

“Tar and feather the vandals and stand them in the middle of town as an example that Andalusia will not stand for that kind of garbage,” Susan Rosell said.

April Barton agreed.

“Nip it in the bud before it becomes a problem like in other cities,” she said.
