Andalusia led 41-17 at halftime and went on to beat Pleasant Home 64-27 in regular season action Thursday night.

At the end of the third period, the Bulldogs (2-2) led 50-23.

Jayden Ellison led AHS with 12 points. Sam Byrd chipped in 11.

Ty Hammett led PHS with eight points and Jon Cole Chesser chipped in six.

“We made a lot of mistakes,” AHS boys coach Richard Robertson said. “I’m still not satisfied with our cohesion. I’ve been searching for for the right group. After four games, I’ve had four different groups out there. I’m still searching.”

Robertson lauded Pleasant Home’s play, saying that the Eagles (2-2) will play well in their classification.

“The score wasn’t indicative to what kind of a team they have,” the coach said.

PHS coach Jerry Davis said the team is just too inexperienced right now.

“It wasn’t a whole lot different than I had anticipated the game to be,” Davis said. “There’s been nobody that’s put that kind of pressure on us.”

Andalusia travels to face rival Opp tonight in regular season action.
