M ore than 65 entries made their way through downtown Opp, showing their Christmas spirit during Saturday’s Christmas parade.

Emilee Gage of the Opp and Covington County Chamber of Commerce said the weekend was successful.

Gage said the weekend kicked off with a Christmas tree lighting at the Historic Depot downtown on Friday night. Santa Clause was there, too.

On Saturday, in conjunction with the annual parade, local merchants were open.
