Damaged Lloyd Mill Road repairs under way

County employees are working to get a bridge on County Road 107, also known as Lloyd Mill Road, repaired.

Commissioner Carl Turman, in whose district the road is located, said the bridge was damaged by log trucks, and county crews were working last night to get it in workable condition.

The bridge is posted, and the trucks should not have driven over it, Turman said.

“I don’t even like to drive my truck over it,” Turman said.

Turman said he expected the repairs to take two weeks.

County Commission Chairman Bill Godwin said he excused county engineer Darren Capps from Tuesday night’s workshop meeting because he was working to repair the bridge.
