Georgiana boys 69, Andalusia boys 58

Andalusia cut the game to four points, but turned the ball over, letting the Panthers have the upper hand in an 11-point win Tuesday night at AHS.

Devante Jackson led the Bulldogs with 24 points and was perfect from the free-throw line. All total, Andalusia missed two the whole night.

Jalen Cross paced AHS with 14 points. Sam Byrd added 13 points.

Georgiana’s Devin McMeans shot 25 points. Jacquez Payton added 20 points.

Andalusia girls 50, Georgiana girls 48

The Lady Bulldogs trailed with about 50 seconds to go, and got two steals back to back to win the game.

Kisha Crittenden threw the ball twice and then laid it up for the victory.

Opp at Elba

Opp’s girls beat Elba 59-38.

Nisha Stoudemire led the Lady Bobcats with 19 points, and Saquaya Lane added 16 points.

Elba’s Alondria Sams had 12 points, and Victoria Adams had 10 points.

In boys action, Opp lost in varsity play 57-23.

Jaylan Wade led OHS with nine points, and Brandon House chipped in four points.

Elba’s Nick Green had 15 points, and Cobe Goosby had eight points.

The B-team made it a close game, but fell 41-34.

Opp’s Chris Morrow led the Bobcats with 13 points, and Devontae Williams shored in nine points.

Enterprise boys 81, Red Level boys 58

Red Level led 21-19 after the first period and 32-31 at halftime to get a good start in the first 16 minutes.

However, turnovers were the achilles heel for the Tigers, as they committed 21 give-aways to help aid the Wildcats in the win.

Enterprise led 60-48 after the third period.

“Our boys played hard,” RLS coach Allen Catrett said. “They gave it what they got. Turnovers are what hurt us the most down the stretch.”

KJ Lawrence led Red Level with 15 points. Dee Tolbert chipped in 14. Justin Maddox had 10 points, Tim Sims had eight points, William Crawford had seven points and Spencer Stallworth scored four points.

Red Level will be back in action at Florala on Friday.
