Chilly temps are here

Published 12:00am Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Baby it’s cold outside – literally, and finally, according to many local residents as temperatures match the Christmas season.

For weeks, the area has enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures; however, Tuesday morning, residents were greeted with chilly temps in the 50s. Locally, the cooler weather will remain in the area until Saturday, when the high is expected to jump to the high 60s.

But things could again take a turn for the cooler meteorologists are reportedly monitoring the potential for a colder, snowier pattern across the Plains and the East prior to Christmas –- which means northern residents could see a white Christmas, while locals could be in for a wet Christmas.
