Alverson scores 14 in Auburn’s win Wednesday

Andalusia native and Auburn standout Blanche Alverson was on fire Wednesday night behind the arch.

Alverson drained three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points in Auburn’s 69-59 win over George Washington in the nation’s capital.

Her three treys move her into a tie for fourth all-time at Auburn in career 3-pointers with Samantha Williams at 161.

Auburn hosts Temple on Sunday. Tip off is at 2 p.m.
