Andalusia native Deborah Nesbit Jenkins will be featured on CNN’s Headline News at 4 p.m. CST today, Thurs., Dec. 20.

Jenkins will talk about her Huntsville Dance Your Dreams class for physically, emotionally and mentally challenged students.

She and her husband, Alan Jenkins, created Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center in Huntsville after purchasing and restoring historic Merrimack Hall. Merrimack Hall is now home to the Johnny Stallings Arts Program, which includes Dance Your Dream! Project UP, Inspired HeARTs and Camp Merrimack. All four classes provide arts education to children and teens with special needs who would otherwise be unable to participate.

Jenkins is the daughter of Sandra Nesbit Fisher and the late Milton Nesbit.
