The flu and flu-like illnesses are running rampant through the county, even striking members of the Opp City Council, causing a lack of a quorum at last night’s meeting.

The meeting, as well as a public hearing on the adoption of the building code standards, have been rescheduled for next Monday night at 6 p.m.

Also on the agenda is:

• Passing an ordinance changing landfill fees;

• Passing an ordinance declaring a severe weather preparedness sales tax holiday.
