LUCILLE JACOBS BOZEMAN

Lucille Jacobs Bozeman passed away Jan. 7, 2013, in a local nursing facility.

She was born in Covington County on Oct. 2, 1922, to Alice and Harvey Jacobs. She married T. C. Bozeman in 1944. A Navy career afforded them many traveling experiences. After retirement, the Bozemans returned to the Carolina Community where they had grown up.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Fri., Jan. 11, at the Carolina Baptist Church with her nephews, Dexter Wood and Ben Barrow, officiating and iinterment following in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Foreman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is preceded in death by her husband, T. C. Bozeman; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mandrak and Sybil Jacobs, Don and Carrie Jacobs, Walker and Helen Jacobs and Garland and Ethel Jacobs; and her sister, Mary Hutto.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Erin Bozeman of Jacksonville, Fla.; a grandson, Steven Bozeman; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther and Benny Barrow and Ruth and Charles Lawson, all of Andalusia, and Hazel Wood of Birmingham; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Dean Jacobs of Andalusia; a brother-in-law, Donald Hutto; and many nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Carolina Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Steve Lawson, Ricky Jacobs, Larry Stallings, Ronald Jacobs, Tim Jacobs, and Micah Garner.

RUTH JEAN HAYES

Ruth Jean Hayes of Gantt passed away Wed., Jan. 9, 2013, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sat., Jan. 12, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Eiland officiating. Special music will be provided by Carol Smith and Beth Cole, and interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Al Hayes of Dozier; sons, Mike (Julie) Hayes of Andalusia and Mark (Regina) Hayes of Ft. Walton, Fla.; daughters, Pam Greenwood of Opp and Patty (Ed) Carlson of Andalusia; brother, James Carter of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; sisters, Helen Lucas of Virginia, Elsie Loos of Franklin, Ind., Minnie Jones of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Ann Barnes of Opp; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Bosey, and her brother, Carlos Carter.

VONCILLE SASSER

Voncille Sasser of Andalusia passed away Wed., Jan. 9, 2013, in a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., Jan. 12, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Kelley officiating and the eulogy given by Meredith Riley. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Peters of Andalusia; grandchildren, Meredith Peters, LeeAnn (Scott) Riley and Tiffany Sasser; great-grandchildren, Mary Katherine Riley, Ridge Riley, Erin Riley, Dillon Griggs and Emily Meek; brothers, Wayne Bryan of Opelika, James Massey of Prattville and Ray Massey of Milton, Fla.; sisters, Merle (Griffin) of Heath and Joyce Sharpe of Heath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. Sasser, and her son, Bobby Sasser.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Riley, Ridge Riley, Matt Griggs, Mickey Sharpe Jr., Hansel Strickland and Tony Pynes.

BERNICE WIGGINS

Bernice Wiggins of Andalusia passed away Wed., Jan. 9, 2013, in a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sat., Jan. 12, at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Wilkinson and the Rev. Ray Armstrong officiating and interment following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home is directing.

The family will receive friends from tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her son, Roy (Faye) Wiggins; daughter, Patricia (Ray) Armstrong, all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Angelique Armstrong, Daniel Armstrong, Michael Armstrong and Troy (Robyn) Wiggins; and great-grandchildren, Melenie Armstrong,

Iiesha Lane and Jamila Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wiggins, and her granddaughter, Ronda Wiggins.

SARA CLAYTON FLOYD

Sara Clayton Floyd, 86, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Jan. 10, 2012, in Andalusia.

Funeral services will be held on Sat., Jan. 12, at 11 a.m., from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Wilson officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Floyd; her parents, A.B. and Estelle Clayton; and a sister, Louise Clayton Russell.

Survivors include her son, Clayton Lewis Floyd of Opelika; her daughter Wanda Stump of Andalusia; grandchildren, Jason and Shellye Stump and Derek Stump; and a great-grandchild, Tyler Drake Stump.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Daisy Owens, 91, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Jan. 8, 2013, in the local hospital.

Funeral services were held Thurs., Jan. 10, at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Cotter officiating and burial following in Harmony Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Marvin Lee (Elaine) Owens of Andalusia; daughter, Shirley Jean (Bob) McKain of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; two brothers, V.C. Sasser of Andalusia and

James William (Genice) Sasser of Bonifay, Fla.; four grandchildren, Manuel Owens, Brian Owens, Donna Hutcheson and Missy Madden; and nine great-grandchildren.
