Straughn’s No. 9 Lady Tigers beat Southside Selma 47-31 to clinch the regular season Class 3A, Area 2 title.

With their 21st straight victory, the Lady Tigers improve to 21-1 overall, and 5-0 in the area.

Brittany Driver led SHS with 21 points. Jacie Williamson and Katelyn Kinsaul scored eight points each.

In boys action, the Tigers lost 63-51 to SSHS. B-team fell 47-37 also.

Straughn is back in action today when it hosts Daleville. Tip off for B-team is at 3:30 p.m.
