U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will join the residents of Covington County for a meet and greet at 2 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 2, his office announced yesterday.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at PowerSouth located at 2027 E Three Notch St., Andalusia.

This will be Senator Shelby’s 1,747th county visit since his election to the U.S. Senate.

Sen. Shelby will address the legislative agenda for the first session of the 113th Congress as well as important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama. Following his remarks, Sen. Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments from those in attendance.
