Straughn’s girls are still ranked No. 9 in Class 3A, according to the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association basketball poll, which was released today.

The Lady Tigers demolished Daleville 56-22 Saturday night to win their 22nd straight game.

Earlier this season, SHS (22-1) clinched the Class 3A, Area 2 crown and will host the area tournament, beginning Feb. 8.

SHS is back in action today at home in a pick-up game against Class 2A seventh-ranked Providence Christian.

The Lady Tigers tip off at 4 p.m. for one game only.
