Pleasant Home’s boys got a 42-30 senior night victory over W.S. Neal on Friday night.

The Eagles were led by Lance Davis, a senior, with 18 points. Troy Fantroy had 15 points.

“We had a pretty good crowd,” PHS coach Jerry Davis said. “It was good. All three teams won. It was a good night for it to be senior night.”

With the win, PHS improves to 16-8 overall, and will host the Class 1A, Area 2 tournament on Friday.

In girls action, the Lady Eagles won big in a 46-15 rout.

PHS was balanced from a scoring stand point as nobody finished in double figures, Lady Eagles coach Kelley Garner said.

Ashley Williamson led PHS with nine points. Raven Woods had eight points. Taylor Godwin had seven points, and Brianna Dozier and Jade Self scored six each.

“It seems like yesterday these seniors were my little eighth graders just getting their toes wet,” Garner said. “Time flies. I’m looking for them to do big things in the next few games.”

PHS is back in action on Monday at home against Straughn to close out the regular season.

Then, on Thursday, the Lady Eagles travel to Geneva County to face Kinston in the semifinals of the area tournament at 5 p.m.
