Flu hits AES hard

Andalusia Elementary School officials used its automated call system Wednesday to warn parents about high rates of flu and flu-like illnesses among its students.

Parents were reminded that students should not return to school until a full 24 hours after their last fever-reducing medication. As well, students diagnose with the flu typically should not attend school for a full seven days.

Parents whose children have been diagnosed with the flu are asked to contact AES.
