It’s less than a week until Valentine’s the day set aside to celebrate love, and local retailers have lots to offer in the way of romance and gifts.

The National Retail Federation projects Americans will spend a $18.6 billion on Valentine’s gifts this year. The average shopper will spend $131, and men typically spend twice as much as women.
