Drug cases crowd docket

Drug cases again dominated the list of guilty pleas released this week by the county district attorney’s office.

Of the 25 cases, 14 or 56 percent were drug-related. Of the remaining, eight were property crimes and three were sex crimes.

Those pleading included:

• Gigi Cooper on burglary III and sentenced to 31 months in prison. Attorney: Chris Sledge.

• Martina Crawley on possession of a forged instrument II and sentenced to 31 months probation. Attorney: Sonny James.

• Tyrease Edwards to distribution of a controlled substance and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Attorney: Larry Grissett.

• Burnes T. Grayson to distribution of a controlled substance II and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Attorney: Rod Sylvester.

• Timothy W. Grayson to manufacturing of a controlled substance II and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. Attorney: Sonny James.

• Harold A. Hallford to possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: Manish Patel.

• Gregory L. Harper to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to six years in prison. Attorney: Manish Patel.

• Christine Ann Hartley to possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: Bart Boothe.

• Rachel J. Hawkins to escape III and was sentenced to six years in prison. Attorney: Chris Sledge.

• Justin D. Knight to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Attorney: Bart Boothe.

• Russell A. Knight to theft of property II and was sentenced to five years probation. Attorney: Chris Sledge.

• Bridgett King to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attorney: Chris Sledge.

• Colin G. McClellan to attempted possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: Rod Sylvester.

• Phillip B. Mitchell to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to three years probation. Attorney: Manish Patel.

• Brandon F. Montgomery to burglary III and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attorney: Gypsy Smith.

• Jason M. Oglesby to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to six years in prison. Attorney: Benton Persons.

• Raymond Lee Patterson Jr. to attempted possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: Robert King.

• Jessica H. Phillips to manufacturing of a controlled substance II and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attorney: Diana Mock.

• Aaron Lee Rhudy to burglary III and sentenced to 31 months probation. Attorney: Larry Grissett.

• Rusty D. Rodgers to theft of property I and sentenced to 115 months in prison. Attorney: Meredith Peters.

• Myron D. Tyson to possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 16 years in prison. Attorney: Diana Mock.

• Devon D. Vaughn to rape II and sentenced to eight years in prison. Attorney: Corey Bryan.

• Victor Boy Vellem to bringing stolen property into the state and sentenced to three years probation. Attorney: Manish Patel.

• John A. Weaver to rape II and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attorney: Thomas Brantley.
