The Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo still has room for about 50 more vendors, officials said Friday.

Rodeo event planner Don Childre said so far, the rodeo has 130-150 vendors, but they would like to see 180.

“We don’t have a deadline,” he said. “But we are getting about seven or eight a day. So, if you’re interested, you need to let me know as soon as possible.”

Childre said that the food vendors are full, but there’s plenty of room for other vendors.

Vendors usually include children’s boutiques, rodeo T-shirts, acrylic illustrations and prints, vinyl decals, jewelry, purse, scarves, Scentsy dealers, pocket knives and sunglasses, belts, airbrush tattoos and more.

Food vendors range from ice cream and funnel cakes to rattlesnake meat to fried chicken.

Vendors line the track around Channell-Lee Stadium.

For those who enjoy the musical entertainment, there’s a wide variety.

On Fri., March 22, locals Christian Wossilek and Taylor Weeks will perform, and Enterprise-based The Springs, will open up for Little Texas. Wossilek and Week will also perform on Sat., March 23.

Saturday’s entertainment will include winners from three karaoke contests – Andalusia Adult Activity Center, the Four Sons and the Opp VFW.
