CCYAA: Hunter’s Walk Tourney Wrap

Straughn picked up first place honors at the Covington County Youth Archery Association’s Hunter’s Walk Tournament on Sunday.

The Tigers team scored a 591 to take the top prize. Pleasant Home came in second with 577 points. Andalusia came in third place with 521 points; and Red Level came in fourth place with 486.

Overall winners in Division 1 included first-place winner Garrett Barton of Pleasant Home; second-place winner Jarrett Brayn of SHS; and third place winner Hunter Cheshire of PHS.

Overall winners in Division 2 included first-place winner Dylan Tyree of SHS; second-place winner Nicholas Tyler of Pleasant Home; and third-place winner Michael Brown of Andalusia.

Overall winners in Division 3 included first-place winner Tucker Livings of SHS; second-place winner Mason Turner of SHS; and third-place winner Brandon Johnson of PHS.

Andalusia’s Haden Jackson and Austin Leverington hit the 12 count three times each to lead the Bulldogs; Garrett Barton nailed the 12 count seven times to lead PHS; Parker Spears had three 12 counts; and Straughn’s Tucker Livings had six 12 counts.
