The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs beat Wilcox Central 18-0 in three innings Thursday night.

With this win, AHS improves to 2-0 in Class 4A, Area 2.

“It was one of those games where we sort of took care of business and did what we were supposed to do,” AHS coach Brad Garner said.

Andalusia’s Abbie Young and Maggie Lambert struck out all nine batters in order.

The Lady Bulldogs host Monroe County today in area action.

In junior varsity baseball action, Andalusia swept Straughn in a doubleheader.

Brayden Burkhardt pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs in a 6-3 game one win.

The game was tied 1-1 all the way until the seventh inning, where AHS scored two big runs to end up winning 3-2 after SHS plated a run in the bottom half of the frame.

With these wins, Andalusia improves to 5-10 overall.
