Pleasant Home scored five runs in the top of the seventh and beat Montgomery Catholic 7-5 in regular season softball action Thursday night.

The Lady Eagles trailed 5-2 going into the last inning, but errors by MC helped PHS plate the needed runs.

“It was good to see that we bounced back,” PHS coach Bradley Stephens said about the win, coming two days after a 10-5 loss to Brantley.

Ashley Copeland and Abbie Walker saw action on the mound.

Caitlin Jernigan led the fourth-ranked Lady Eagles (9-4) and went 2-for-3.

PHS will travel to play in the Orange and Black Classic at Hoover today and tomorrow, barring the weather.

PHS plays Enterprise and Bibb County tonight at 5:15 and 7;30, respectively.
