Opp scored five runs in the seventh inning to tie the game at 10-all and the Bobcats went on to beat Excel 12-11 in 10 innings Friday night at Merchant’s Field.

The Bobcats completed a grinding area series with EHS, where they had to go into extra innings in each of the best-of-three games.

Opp beat Excel 7-6 in 11 innings in the second game of the series and first of the night.

The Panthers scored one run in the top of the 10th inning, and the Bobcats added two runs after loading the bases with two outs.

In the first game of the area series, Opp won 3-2 in eight innings on Thursday night.

With these victories, the eighth-ranked Bobcats improve to 13-2 on the season.

OHS will be back in action Monday through Wednesday as it hosts its annual baseball tournament.
