Faulkner State trounced LBWCC in a three-game weekend series 12-2, 13-3 and 12-8 in ACCC South Conference action in Bay Minette

Trevor Maxey and Eric Walding went 2-for-3 each in the Saints’ 12-2 loss. LBW scored its only runs in the sixth inning.

Ryan Barnes and Walding had two hits each for LBW in the 13-3 loss. The Saints scored one run each in the first, third and sixth innings.

The Saints built a 8-3 lead after two innings on Sunday, but the Sun Chiefs battled back with a two-run fourth, four-run fifth and scored one run each in the sixth through eighth innings for the win.

Barnes went 3-for-5 with six RBIs to lead the Saints. Trey Chambers went 2-for-4; and Brandon Pugh went 2-for-4.

LBWCC will be back in action on Thursday for a single conference game against Alabama Southern at 3 p.m., and a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at noon.
