Uses for the new physical education facility at Andalusia High School are practically unlimited, AHS head football coach Brian Seymore said.

Since the new facility opened in November, many of the school’s athletic and extracurricular programs have taken advantage of the convenience.

“A lot of folks have been using it,” Seymore said. “It’s very accessible.”

One of the benefits of the building, besides the indoor space, is the marked lines on the turf.

With the numbers, lines and hash marks, the football, band and soccer teams have the ability to line their players up in different formations.

Additionally, the AHS Booster Club has started having its meetings in the building.

“It’s going to benefit people, not just in the high school, but in the community as well,” Seymore said.
